Structure of safety gate (1) for a forklift truck (100), or similar transport vehicle, having a protection cabin (120) comprising a couple of front uprights (121) and a couple of rear uprights (122) arranged at opposite sides with respect to a driver seat (50). The safety gate (1) comprises a protection portion (20) and a tilting device (15) arranged to cantilever the protection portion (20) from the front upright (121). Furthermore, the tilting device (15) is adapted to connect pivotally the protection portion (20) to a front upright (121) of the protection cabin (120). More in detail, the tilting device (15) is configured to cause a rotation of the protection portion (20) about a rotation axis (115) substantially horizontal, between an open configuration, in which the protection portion (20) is arranged in a substantially vertical position, and a closed configuration, in which the protection portion (20) is arranged laterally with respect to the driver seat (50)
