A virtual assistant (VA) for providing assistance to an associated user in performing telecommunication activities using a mobile device (4) connected to a network (1),
wherein said virtual assistant (VA) is adaptive to a registered telecommunication behavior (TB) of the associated user when performing the telecommunication activities and wherein the virtual assistant (VA) is represented by a virtual assistant character (VAC) being displayed by said user's mobile device (4)
and being configured to express upon assisting said user a virtual behavior which simulates an appearance of a selected character loaded by the user's mobile device (4).
