A method of executing an application in a touch device and a corresponding touch device. The method comprising: displaying an execution screen of a first application as a full screen window on a display screen; receiving an execution event input for executing a second application; configuring a multi-window display in which the display screen is split into at least two windows when the execution event input is released within a portion of the display screen corresponding to one of the windows; and independently displaying execution screens of the first application and the second application through respective windows in the multi-window display.
