A syringe carrier (500) for use within an automatic injection device comprising: a substantially tubular body having a first end and a second end, and configured to contain a portion of a syringe and displace the syringe within a housing of the automatic injection device between a first position and a second position; a pair of legs (506) defining at least a portion of an opening (505) within the substantially tubular body proximal to the first end; and a syringe carrier coupler (504) extending partially beyond the pair of legs at the first end of the substantially tubular body.
