According to an aspect of this disclosure, a communication terminal is provided comprising a first determiner configured to determine, for a software application installed on the communication terminal, a desired communication behavior of the communication terminal for the exchange of data for the software application; a second determiner configured to determine a time for the exchange of data between the communication terminal and a mobile communication network depending on the determined desired communication behavior; and a transceiver configured to communicate with the mobile communication network at the determined time.
