A pest control composition is provided having an excellent control effect on pests and containing an ester compound represented by the following formula (1) and a citric acid triester represented by the following formula (2) (in the formula, R represents a C2 to C4 alkyl group). A method is also provided for controlling pests including applying the pest control composition to pests or habitats of pests.
