摘要：
A light source system includes an illumination section having a pulse-driven light source, and an illumination control section detachably connected to the illumination section and provided with a drive circuit that generates drive pulses for pulse-driving the light source, and the light source system comprises: a signal generating section that is provided at the illumination section and generates a signal indicative of a duty ratio of the drive pulses which is permitted the illumination section; and a limiting section that is provided at the illumination control section and limits the duty ratio of the drive pulses to be not greater than the duty ratio based on the signal from the signal generating section.
