Disclosed is a lighting device (1) having a tubular body (10) and a plurality of solid state lighting elements (14) mounted inside said tubular body, wherein the lighting device further comprises an optical film (20) enveloping said tubular body, wherein at least a portion (22, 24) of said optical film is adapted to redirect the luminous output of said solid state lighting elements. A luminaire including such a lighting device and a method of manufacturing such a lighting device are also disclosed.
