The invention relates to a grandstand, having place rows (60a, 60b, 60c, 60d) rising in steps, wherein at least two place rows (60a, 60b, 60c, 60d) lying one behind the other have a plurality of places for spectators (20) and/or listeners and the places each have a seat (50) comprising a sitting or leaning surface, and the sitting or leaning surface of the seat has a distance of at least 65 cm from the floor surface (61) of the particular place (60a, 60b, 60c, 60d).
