For an optional use of a first or a second stop (16, 17) for pushing the rail clip (9) in or out, each press piece (15) is designed to be rotatable about an axis of rotation (18) running parallel to the pivot axis of the tool levers (11). A clamp screw (19) is provided to fix the press piece (15) in the relevant working position. A third stop (20), which is provided for contacting the clip holder (10), is arranged behind the second stop (17), which is provided for pushing the rail clip (9) out.
