The invention relates to a piston (1) of an internal combustion engine, wherein the piston (1) comprises a slide shoe (4) mounted in a force accumulator (5) and said slide shoe (4) has a channel (10) for transferring cooling oil into a hollow space (11), characterized in that the force accumulator (5) is arranged in a channel (12) formed by, in particular, the piston (1) and the slide shoe (4) is partially guided within the force accumulator (5).
