The invention relates to a connection element (100, 114; 200, 214) for implementing a plug connection by means of at least largely force-fitting and/or form-fitting interlocking of a pin-like male part (102) and a sleeve-like female part (103), each connection element (100, 114; 200, 214) being formed with both such a male part (102) and such a female part (103); to a connection of said connection element (100, 114; 200, 214) to a stabilisation element (116, 119); and to a plug connection comprising two connection elements (100, 114; 200, 214), which are designed at least virtually identically, each having a pin-like male part (102) and a sleeve-like female part (103), wherein the male part (102) of a first one of the connection elements (100, 114; 200, 214) is connected to the female part (103) of a second one of the connection elements (100, 114; 200, 214) such that they interlock in an at least largely force-fitting and/or form-fitting manner. This simplifies production and handling and reduces the costs incurred in the process.
