The present invention relates to a form dressing roller 10 comprising: a base 1; a free-standing lining ring 2 containing diamond grains and/or small diamond rods, in a ceramic, metallic bond or a synthetic resin bond, for dressing diamond and CBN grinding disks and conventional disks having corundum or silicon carbide abrasives; clamping screws 4 for fastening the lining ring 2 between the base 1 and a fastening ring 6; and a receiving bore 5 in the center of the base 1, the lining ring 2 having at least three recesses 3.
