The invention relates to a gas distribution assembly comprising a gas cylinder (2), a valve block (12) attached to the gas cylinder (2) and a protective casing (1) arranged around said valve block (12), said valve block (12) comprising a device (4) for indicating pressure, such as a manometer, or for indicating the content of the cylinder, such as an autonomy indicating device, and a rotating wheel (6) that can be operated by an operator, for controlling the gas flow, characterised in that the protective casing (1) comprises a first opening (11) on the lower part (1a) of the protective casing (1), within which the device (4) indicating the pressure or the content of the cylinder is housed.
