Traversable strain sensor readers for reading a plurality strain sensor reference features (40) on a turbine component (10) include a traversing system (52) configured to traverse the traversable strain sensor reader (50) along at least a portion of the turbine component (10), and a reader (54) configured to read at least a portion of the plurality of strain sensor reference features (40) while the traversing system (52) traverses the traversable strain sensor reader (50) along at least the portion of the turbine component (10).
