The invention relates to a mixing container which contains an internal cylindrical container (1) having a lid element (2) closable at the top and an internal axially movably arranged mixing element (3). The invention is characterized in that the mixing element (3) contains at least two worm-like spiral parts (4, 5) having at least one screw-like spiral part (6) which is arranged axially therebetween, which comprises at least one single-part wire spiral (20) and, by means of the worm-like (4, 5) and/or screw-like spiral parts (6), is matched externally to the internal diameter of the container (1) whilst maintaining a small sliding gap (7), wherein the mixing element (3) has an axial length of at least 1/4 to at most 2/3 of the container interior (8).
