The fairlead comprises guiding means (1 to 4) capable of guiding the anchoring element in translation between the unit and the anchoring point, and locking means (5) capable of locking the translation of the anchoring element in the guiding means (1 to 4). The locking means (5) are assembled on the guiding means (1 to 4) and are at least partially free to rotate around an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the anchoring element when said element is guided in the guiding means (1 to 4).
