A terminal and an operating method thereof are disclosed. The terminal (100) comprises a touch screen (151) and a controller (180) configured to comprise receiving means to receive a rubbing touch input when rubbing a partial area (151a) of a touch screen of the terminal (100); execution means to execute an intelligent agent providing a function or operation of the terminal (100) based on the received rubbing touch input; and performing means to perform a function or operation corresponding to an object displayed in the partial area (151a) based on the executed intelligent agent.
