A transmission control device includes a transmission signal generation unit (1) that generates a test signal when a test is performed, a transmission amplifier (2) that outputs the test signal at an amplitude smaller than in a normal operation, and a control unit (3). If it is determined that the value of a current to be supplied to the transmission amplifier (2) from a power supply (6) is not within a predetermined operation range, the control unit (3) performs a control so as to stop an operation of the transmission amplifier (2). This realizes a transmission control device that prevents damage of the transmission amplifier (2) which is generated when the transmission signal in a normal operation are transmitted without connecting an antenna (8).
