The movement member (9) is provided with an opening (11) for receiving the pencil. Said pencil sharpener is characterized in that the movement member (9) is a toothed wheel comprising at least one tooth (10) having an angled profile. The movement member (9) is configured such as to be rotated by the pencil in a predetermined rotational direction and to drive the slide (4b, 4'b).
