Anti-theft device (102) for a motor vehicle (100), comprising: a cylinder (108), a key reading device (110) intended to block rotation of the cylinder (108) in the absence of the key or when a key that is non-compatible with the reading device (110) is read, and to allow rotation of the cylinder (108) when a key compatible with the reading device (110) is read, a switch (114) intended to be driven by rotation of the cylinder (108) to take a first STOP position in which the switch (114) is intended to deactivate a motor of the motor vehicle (100), and a second ON position in which the switch (114) is intended to activate the motor. The anti-theft device (102) further comprises: a safety device (116) intended to prevent the switch (114) from leaving the ON position in the direction of the STOP position, and a speed measurement device (118) intended to measure a speed of the motor vehicle (100) and to supply an activation signal to the safety device (116) when the measured speed exceeds a predetermined threshold.
