The invention relates to a transmission device for a motor vehicle, particularly an at least two-wheeled vehicle, comprising a crankshaft (12) carrying at least two driving toothed wheels (18, 20), a driven shaft (14) carrying at least two driven toothed wheels (34, 36), and a countershaft (16) for movement transmission, carrying fixed toothed wheels (52, 54). According to the invention, the device comprises a toothed wheel (56) mounted freely on the countershaft (16) passing through a unidirectional automatic coupling (58) and cooperating with a driving toothed wheel (18).
