Abstract:
The invention relates to an optical system for transmitting a source image (302), wherein light having a field angle spectrum emanates from the source image (302), which optical system comprises an optical fiber arrangement (306a-306c), in which the light can propagate by total reflection, a diffractive optical coupling arrangement (308a-308c) for coupling the light emanating from the source image (302) into the optical fiber arrangement (306a-306c), and a diffractive optical decoupling arrangement (310a-310c) for decoupling the light propagated in the optical fiber arrangement (306a-306c) from the optical fiber arrangement (306a-306c). The coupling arrangement (308a-308c) has a first coupling element (308a), which is arranged in the optical fiber arrangement (306a-306c) and has field angles from a first field angle region of the field angle spectrum in order to couple light from a first subfield (252) of the source image (302). The coupling arrangement (308a-308c) has at least one second coupling element (308b, 308c), which is arranged in the optical fiber arrangement (306a-306c) and has field angles from a second field angle region of the field angle spectrum that are at least partially different from those in the first field angle region in order to couple light from at least one second subfield (254, 256) of the source image (302) that is at least partially different from the first subfield (252). After decoupling from the optical fiber arrangement (306a-306c), the transmitted first subfield (252) and the transmitted at least one second subfield (254, 256) of the source image (302) are superimposed, at least partially. Prior to being coupled into the optical fiber arrangement (306a-306c), the first subfield (252) and/or the at least one second subfield (254, 256) has/have arc-shaped edges, at least partially.
