The invention involves an apparatus and a method for drying and/or curing impregnated wood. The apparatus includes a chamber (1, 2) comprising a stack (3) containing space (11, 12) for containing a plurality of elongated wood planks arranged in a stack (3) of a height Hs, width Wsand length Ls, a heating element (2A, 2, 2) arranged within or adjacent to the space (11, 12), a flow generating device (7, 8) arranged outside the space (11, 12) and configured to generate a circulating flow (F) of drying fluid within the chamber (1, 2) and a fluid flow restrictor (6, 7) arranged between the space (11, 12) and the flow generating device (7, 8). The flow generating device (7, 8) and the fluid flow restrictor (6, 7) are further configured such that the circulating flow (F) of drying fluid is guided through the heating element (2A, 2, 2) generating a homogeneously heated and distributed flow (F) of drying fluid in the space (11, 12).Fig. 1
