The invention relates to an overvoltage protection device (1), comprising a housing (G), a first overvoltage protection system (ÜSE1), and a second overvoltage protection system (ÜSE2), wherein the first overvoltage protection system (ÜSE1) has a first connection (A1-ÜSE1) and a second connection (A2-ÜSE1) and the second overvoltage protection system (ÜSE2) likewise has a first connection (A1-ÜSE2) and a second connection (A2-ÜSE2), wherein the first overvoltage protection system (ÜSE1) and the second overvoltage protection system (ÜSE2) are selected from a group comprising a TVS diode, varistor, gas-filled surge arrester, and a spark gap, wherein the first overvoltage protection system (ÜSE1) is different from the second overvoltage protection system (ÜSE2), wherein the respective first connections (A1-ÜSE1, A1-ÜSE2) and second connections (A2-ÜSE1, A2-ÜSE2) are connected by means of at least one resistor (R), wherein the resistor (R) is formed of an organic electrically conductive material.
