The user equipment sends, to the vehicle, an identification of the user equipment by use of a direct wireless communication connection. Then, the vehicle sends, to the network node, the identification of the user equipment. The network node sends, to the user equipment, a control message instructing the user equipment to apply a second DRX cycle, wherein the second DRX cycle is longer than a first DRX cycle. The network node also receives, from the vehicle, position information of the vehicle, whereby the network node, upon paging of the user equipment, sends a paging message, based on the position information of the vehicle, to the user equipment. Corresponding computer programs and carriers therefor are also disclosed.
