A smoke detection system, a smoke detection method, and a program are provided which are configured to suppress steam from being erroneously detected as smoke. A smoke detection system (200) is configured to detect smoke. The smoke detection system (200) includes an estimation unit (235). The estimation unit (235) is configured to estimate a state of a gas based on a change temperature which is a temporal change of a temperature of the gas.
