In a connection mechanism (1) for an ink flow path (Fq), in a case of connecting an ink container (382) to an apparatus main body (310), a slide portion (22, 24) causes a first open/close valve (12) to move to establish communication of the ink flow path (Fq), and a first main body portion (11) causes the slide portion (22, 24) to move to disconnect an air flow path (Fa) from the ink flow path (Fq). In the connection mechanism (1) for the ink flow path (Fq), in a case of disconnecting the ink container (382) from the apparatus main body (310), a contact pressure between the first main body portion (11) and the slide portion (22, 24) is decreased, so that a second biasing member (23) biases the slide portion (22, 24) to connect the air flow path (Fa) to the ink flow path (Fq), and the first main body portion (11) is separated from the slide portion (22, 24), so that a first biasing member (13) biases the first open/close valve (12) to close a part of the ink flow path (Fq) included in the first main body portion (11).
