It is an object of this invention to provide a weight checking device that ensures that the user can appropriately carry out settings relating to the operation of the device.
A weight checker 30 (weight checking device) performs checks relating to weights of products P (articles-to-be-checked). The weight checker includes a load cell 33 (weighing unit), a touch panel 37 (receiving unit), and a control unit 39. The load cell weighs the weights of the products. The touch panel receives requests to change parameters relating to the operation of the weight checker. The control unit determines, based on at least one of conditions permitted for the weight checker and conditions relating to the checks, whether or not the parameters after the changes pertaining to the change requests are in predetermined allowable ranges and, in accordance with the determination results, outputs predetermined determination information or decides whether or not to change the parameters based on the change requests.
