Disclosed in embodiments of the present application are a link switching method and a communication device. The method includes: in the case that service transmission cannot be performed using a first link between a first communication device and a second communication device, the first communication device establishes a second link between the first communication device and the second communication device; and the first communication device performs the service transmission using the second link, wherein the communication devices on the first link and the second link are different. The method and communication device of the embodiments of the present application are beneficial to reduce the latency in resumption of service transmission.
