The processor is configured to, during a video call performed via a video call function between the electronic device of a user and an electronic device of a counterpart: execute the video call function; upon connection of the video call, display, on the display device, a first video call screen; display, on the display device, one or more 3D avatars based on a first user input with respect to the first video call screen; determine that a first 3D avatar of the one or more 3D avatars corresponds to a face of the user, the first 3D avatar being selected based on a second user input; display, on the display device, the first 3D avatar corresponding to the face of the user.
