At least one chip dividing groove (11) formed in the land (9) intersects the flute surface (8), forming an edge, a portion of which forming a trailing edge (16) extending from the root of the chip dividing groove to the trailing corner, with respect to the direction of rotation. A reinforcement surface at trailing edge (16) provides a locally reduced rake angle.
