An ultrasound and/or shockwave source is suspended on a hexapod drive. It further includes an ultrasonic transducer for ultrasonic imaging coupled rigidly to the ultrasound and/or shockwave source such that movements of the hexapod drive are directly coupled to the ultrasonic transducer.
