The invention relates to a user equipment (UE) and a method performed by a UE in a communication system, the method comprising: receiving (1000), from a base station, information of states indicating one or more downlink, DL, component carriers, CCs, for an aperiodic channel state information, CSI, report, wherein each value of a field in downlink control information, DCI, is associated with one state of the states; receiving (1010), from the base station, DCI including the field having a first value; identifying (1020) a DL CC indicated by a first state associated with the first value; generating (1030) CSI for the DL CC; and transmitting (1040), to the base station, the CSI on an uplink, UL, CC. The invention also relates to a corresponding base station device and method.
