Provided is a furniture part assembly that includes a sidewall (24), a covering member (34a), and a fitting (38). The sidewall (24) is provided with a mounting feature (32a). The covering member (34a) is detachably mounted on the mounting feature (32a). The fitting (38) is configured to be mounted to the mounting feature (32a) of the sidewall (24), and thus stacked on the sidewall (24), after the covering member (34a) is detached from the mounting feature (32a). A piece of furniture (20) having the furniture part assembly is also provided.
