The workpiece (40') is mounted within the cavitation chamber (50) and is in contact with the liquid medium (52). The system (100) further includes at least one lens (108) configured to focus at least a portion of the laser radiation (104) and transmit at least one laser beam (110) towards the workpiece (40').
