A disc arrangement for an epilator comprises a set of epilator discs. Each disc has peripheral hair gripping portions, wherein adjacent discs are for performing a tweezer hair removal function between them at a set of hair removal locations. At each hair removal location, there is a first portion of a first disc which is metal and second portion of a second disc which is plastic.
