A method of producing a composite material for a slip ring brush, the method comprising: a) mixing copper powder with a grain size of 10-500 µm with graphene to obtain a copper-graphene mixture, the content of graphene in the copper-graphene mixture being in a range of 0.5-5 wt.% of the total weight of the copper-graphene mixture, and b) sintering the copper-graphene mixture.
