Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide an air conditioner, comprising a power supply circuit, a first sampling circuit, and a controller. The controller is connected to the power supply circuit and the first sampling circuit, and is configured to: acquire a preset operating current value of the air conditioner at each detection stage of at least one detection stage; control the air conditioner to operate using the preset operating current value of each detection stage of the at least one detection stage as a current value of the operating current, and acquire a bus voltage value of the corresponding detection stage; acquire at least two voltage differences according to the bus voltage value of each detection stage of the at least one detection stage; determine a target operating current of the air conditioner according to the at least two voltage difference values and a preset threshold; and control the air conditioner to operate using the target operating current as the operating current.
