PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ecological environment-improving material having the environment- cleaning ability to bring favorable effects on the ecological system, enabling safe farm products and livestock products and the like to be produced and also capable of preventing mycelia and the like from being left and/or surplus sludge from being produced after cleaning wastewater, to provide organic fertilizers, biological agrochemicals, plants, feed/feed additives, animals, crude drugs, water cleaning agents, soil cleaning agents, garbage treatment agents, compost fermentation-promoting agents/deodorizers, modulating agents for phytoremediation, antimicrobial agents, fermented foods, fermented drinks, medicaments, and preparations for biodegradable plastics production, and to provide a thermophilic spawn PTA-1773 for use in e.g. producing the above materials and products. SOLUTION: This ecological environment-improving material is obtained by adding the thermophilic spawn PTA-1773 to an organic material such as shrimp/crab's residues followed by fermenting the residues at 50-90°C under aerobic conditions.
