PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate operation of an operation knob by enabling an ignition without increasing the operation stroke of the knob, reducing the outer dimension of a handle having the knob attached thereon, in a gas drier in which a series of operations of the operation knob are executed to energize a motor, open a gas passage and execute an ignition.
SOLUTION: This gas-type drier comprises a case housing a blow-off port, an air intake port, a burner, an igniter, a motor, and a fan; a handle arranged next to this case; an operating switch 22 which turns on or off the power to a gas bomb as well as a motor provided within the handle; an open/close valve 21 which opens or closes the gas passage to the burner; an arm lever 32 which mechanically actuates the open/close valve; an ignition device which applies a high voltage to the igniter; and an operating knob 39 which is made slidable on the handle. The arm lever is turnably pivoted on one end, with leaving the other end facing the open/close valve as a free end, while the pivot part shaped in a slot hole 38 is to open or close the open/close valve.
