Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing the filtration speed of aqueous titanium oxide slurry, and to provide a titanium oxide powder which precipitates without becoming cloudy when it is resuspended in water.
SOLUTION: The method for increasing the filtration speed of aqueous titanium oxide slurry comprises adding at least 0.03 wt.%, in terms of calcium relative to titanium oxide, of a calcium ion source to the aqueous titanium oxide slurry.
