Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear controlling the occurrence of engagement noise and crack and having high durability and a method of inexpensively cutting the gear. SOLUTION: This gear comprises a columnar or tubular body and teeth extending in the axial direction of the body. Each tooth has a projecting tooth face and a recessed tooth face extending in a recessed arcuate shape in the tooth trace direction. One end start end of the projecting tooth face and the other end terminal end of the projecting tooth face are located at the same position in the circumferential direction.
