PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of inserting a long member into the ground by which vainness of leaving a boring bit in a drilled hole is prevented when the ground is reinforced.
SOLUTION: After a face of a tunnel is bored by a boring rod 10, the boring rod is pulled out and the natural ground is reinforced. The boring rod 10 comprises an outer pipe 11 and an inner pipe 12. When the boring rod 10 is pulled out, the inner pipe 12 is pulled out first. Then a reinforcing member 40 is inserted into the outer pipe 11, and a bag-like object 45 mounted on a front end part of the reinforcing member 40 is expanded and fixed to an extra part Y for an anchor formed in front of the drilled hole S. The outer pipe 11 is pulled out by applying the reaction force of the reinforcing member 40 to the drilled hole S.
