Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent formation of cracks in a glow plug even after the operation for a relatively long period of time, the glow plug used in e.g. a self-ignition type internal combustion engine, and in particular, the rapidly heated glow plug.
SOLUTION: After a body is heated at the recrystallization temperature, the body is deformed at least once again, and the degree of deformation of 20-50% is generated thereby. Then, the body formed of a nickel-based alloy is subjected to recrystallization heating or melt-heating, and/or the melt-heating is performed at the temperature in the range of 1,220-1,330°C.
