Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and smoothly producing an 8-12C ω-alkene-1-ol having high purity in high yield by using an 8-12C α, ω-alkanediol as a raw material.
SOLUTION: The method for producing the 8-12C ω-alkene-1-ol includes subjecting the 8-12C α,ω-alkanediol to dehydration reaction under a reduced pressure by using monoclinic zirconium oxide as a catalyst.
