Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor which, when forming a conductive polymer layer to compose a solid electrolyte in a capacitor element having an edge part, can restrain the thickness in the edge part of the conductive polymer layer from becoming thinner than the other part, thereby preventing occurrence of leakage current.SOLUTION: In a fluid dispersion containing a conductive polymer obtained by oxidative polymerization in water or aqueous liquid of ethylene dioxythiophene or its alkyl derivative in the presence of high molecular sulfonic acid which constitutes a dopant is immersed a capacitor element or a capacitor element which has had a conductive polymer layer formed therein beforehand. After being pulled out of place, the capacitor element is immersed in an alcohol based solvent containing, as base solvent, at least one kind selected from n-, iso, sec- or tert-butyl alcohol and n-propyl alcohol and, after being pulled out of place, is subjected to a drying process at least once, whereby a solid electrolytic capacitor is manufactured.
