PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent, when a user operates an image forming apparatus by operating an operation switch or a display unit provided in an operation panel, a failure of the display unit due to a flow of static electricity therethrough.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: a cover which has an opening at a position facing the display unit and covers the display unit; a first sheet provided on that side of the opening where the display unit is provided; and a second sheet provided on the side where the display unit is not provided, across the opening from the first sheet. The first sheet and the second sheet cover an edge of the opening.
