摘要：
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a form of resistance that is broad, durable and not associated with undesirable phenotypes.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a plant, which is resistant to a pathogen of viral, bacterial, fungal or oomycete origin, wherein the plant has an increased homoserine level as compared to a plant that is not resistant to the pathogen, in particular organisms of the phylum Oomycota, and has a mutation in its homoserine kinase gene that affects the homoserine kinase activity of the encoded enzyme. The invention further relates to a method for obtaining a plant, which is resistant to a pathogen of viral, bacterial, fungal or oomycete origin, comprising increasing the endogenous homoserine level in the plant.
