OPTICAL FIBER CABLE
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the identifiability of optical fiber cores by inserting the specified number of the optical fiber cores without twisting into the tapes of V-form in section and aggregating six pieces of these V-form tapes and radially twisting these toward the central axis. CONSTITUTION:With the number of the optical fiber cores to be put into the V- form cable being made n(n+1)/2(n>=2) pieces, these cores are put parallel into the V-form tape without mutually twisting. Six pieces of such V-form tapes are twisted at the aggregating to constitute the cable. For example, with the cable 4 of 36 pieces in total, the optical fiber cores 2 of six cores in the V-form tape 1 are not mutually twisted but the six pieces of V-form tapes 1 are twisted and aggregated and therefore this results in that the fiber of 36 cores are twisted as a whole, thus the flexibility, etc. of the cable 4 are sufficiently assured. In this way, the optical fiber cores 2 orderly array in the V-form tapes 1 without being twisted and there is no disorder of the configurations, hence the identifiability of the optical fiber cores 2 may be improved.
